Burgess Flying School

Howard Mansfield, Skylark, The life, lies and inventions of Harry Atwood. University Press of New England 1999
Harry Atwood was an early aviator, he was an early (1911) graduate of the Wright Brothers school. After graduating with two hours of flying time, he became associated with the Burgess airplane company a week later, who after building a couple of barely flyable planes of their own design, built licensed copies of Wright, Curtiss and other's aircraft. By February 1912 he had moved on to form The General Aviation company, starting a new school.  This company folded in June of the same year.
